It’s Bigger Than “Me”

It’s Bigger Than “Me”

It’s Bigger Than “Me”

Each of us begins as a unique field, develops into a unique person, and experiences a unique life.  In the process, each of us builds a unique conscious and subconscious mind.  The focus is on the survival of “self.”  We, as individuals, think as individuals, respond as individuals, and act as individuals.  However, as much as we would like to think that the universe revolves around “Me,” in reality, each “Me” is a part of the universe.  None of us is apart from the universe.  And although our basic drive in life is to survive as individuals, we cannot survive alone.  We weren’t designed to survive alone.

What does this bit of philosophy have to do with health, happiness, and success?  Everything!  We can examine the effects thoughts, feelings, memories, beliefs, and learning lessons have on “Me,” yet that’s not the complete story.  You learn your personal lessons in life when you find an element of good in every lesson and recognize a benefit to you personally.  And, in order for a benefit to you to be truly positive, that benefit must not hurt anyone else.  As an extreme example, if you rob a bank, you can see the immediate benefit to you of instant ready cash.  However, that’s hardly a universal positive.  You have injured others either physically or financially.  And you have injected negativity into your mind, body, and field.  You know that robbing a bank is “wrong,” or you wouldn’t have to go to great lengths to avoid being caught.  Intentionally doing something you know is wrong puts interference into your body and field.

When you put interference into your field, other fields are affected.  You are attached by an “energy umbilical cord” to the universe’s energy.  Your energy affects universal energy, and universal energy affects you.  Learning the lesson of every experience is finding the truth in that experience.  Or, to put it another way, it is finding the positive energy that resonates with Universal Energy.  So, when you focus on finding the good in any experience, make sure it is a universal good that benefits you and harms no one else.  You can tell when your energy resonates with Universal Energy because your senses are sharpened, your world is brighter, you are more energetic, and you can see the good in the world around you.  When you find a universal “good,” you find the truth.

Each of us is like an independent cell in the vast body of the universe.  Each cell has its own job to perform – responses to stimuli – as a part of the whole.  So, it mustn’t respond in ways that injure other parts of the whole.  Everything the individual cell (and the individual person) does must benefit the whole.  We fight for our own survival, but our survival ultimately depends on the well-being of the whole.
